Extension Bracket

Click on the photo to see mounting options. This bracket is used for a couple different jobs. Job #1, Traditionally mounted track. Several times we have had customers come to us saying they have mounted their track to far inward on their gunnels. Where this can be an issue is if you are looking to run a down rod. What then happens is when you go to tip the rod into the water, the rod will hit the gunnel of the boat and not really achieving what you are looking for in a down rod. Sometimes even with the added reach of our "Slanted" bases cant over come the distance, this bracket will put you out even further. In combination of this bracket and our slanted uprights you will pick up those precious inches to get that perfect down rod. Job #2, Inside gunnel mounted track. Some boats do not have a wide gunnel, so an option some anglers choose is to mount their track on the inside vertical part of their gunnel. This bracket in combination with our "Slanted bases" can get you a very robust and useable rod holder system that performs like a top mounted track.
